Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you access scenoo.co.za, use the SCENOO quiz, save a discovery or place an order. By using these services, you agree to these terms. Please read them before purchasing.

1. About SCENOO

SCENOO provides a profile-guided perfume discovery experience. Quiz responses are used to create a curated set of perfume directions and a personalised Discovery Set. Recommendations are subjective and are intended to support exploration rather than guarantee a particular preference or outcome.

2. Quiz and Reveal Results

• You are responsible for providing accurate quiz and contact information.
• Perfume names, phrases, images and profile labels shown on the reveal page form part of your personalised discovery experience.
• Recommendations may vary according to the answers supplied and the selection logic used when the quiz is completed.
• SCENOO does not guarantee that every perfume will suit every customer. Comparing different directions is part of the discovery experience.

3. Discovery Set

• The SCENOO Discovery Set contains 7 x 10ml personalised perfume samples, 70ml in total.
• Each set is selected from the customer's quiz profile and is created specifically for that customer.
• Product and packaging images are illustrative. Minor differences in colour, presentation or packaging may occur without changing the ordered product.
• Product descriptions and availability may be corrected or updated before an order is accepted.

4. Prices, Discounts and Payment

• Prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.
• The price shown in the offer and confirmed at checkout is the price that applies to the order.
• Discount codes are subject to their stated conditions, validity dates and usage limits, and may not be combined unless expressly permitted.
• Payments are processed through PayFast. SCENOO does not store your full card or banking credentials.
• An order is confirmed only after payment is successfully authorised and SCENOO issues an order confirmation.
• If we cannot accept or fulfil an order, we may cancel it and refund amounts paid for the cancelled order.

5. Creation and Delivery

• Discovery Sets are created for the customer and are not pulled from ready-made shelf stock.
• Please allow approximately 7 working days for creation before dispatch. This is an estimate and may change where materials, demand or circumstances outside our control cause a delay.
• Shipping is a flat rate of R99 nationwide across South Africa.
• Delivery time after dispatch depends on the destination and delivery provider.
• You must provide a complete and accurate delivery address and reachable contact details. Additional costs caused by incorrect information may be charged to you.
• SCENOO is not responsible for courier delays outside its reasonable control, but we will assist with delivery enquiries where possible.

6. Saved Discoveries and WhatsApp

• If you choose Save My Discovery, SCENOO creates a private link containing the seven perfumes shown on your reveal page.
• The saved-discovery link remains active for up to 90 days from creation and then expires.
• You are responsible for keeping the link private. Anyone with the link may be able to view the saved discovery.
• We use the WhatsApp Business Platform to send the saved-discovery confirmation to the number you provide.
• Where you separately agree to reminders, SCENOO may send reminder messages about the saved discovery. You may withdraw that consent at any time.

7. Gift Selection

If gift wrapping is selected, the additional price displayed at checkout will be added to the order. You are responsible for checking the gift option before payment. Any gift note must be lawful and must not contain abusive, discriminatory or infringing content.

8. Returns and Refunds

Personalised and fragrance products may be subject to return restrictions for hygiene and customisation reasons. Please read our Returns & Refunds Policy before placing an order. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African consumer law.

9. Product Use and Sensitivities

Perfume products are for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and damaged skin, keep products away from children and open flames, and discontinue use if irritation occurs. Customers with known allergies or sensitivities should review available ingredient information and seek appropriate advice before use.

10. Intellectual Property

The SCENOO name, logo, website design, quiz content, perfume names, phrases, images and other original content are owned by or licensed to SCENOO. You may not reproduce, sell, distribute or commercially exploit them without written permission.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Instructions for requesting deletion are available on the Data Deletion page.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, SCENOO is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website or products. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount paid for the affected order, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled by the courts or other forums having jurisdiction under South African law.
